Going to Vietnam and will be flying out of Singapore with this Airline. I read nothing but bad reviewed (booked trip before I read anything ) and now wondering if I they are really as bad as what I read. Their safety rating also not that great but are they really that terrible and/or dangerous to fly?

No padding on the seats and if you weight more than 77 kg you pay a per kg fee. No snacks. Water is kept in a large icebox next to the only toilet. The toilet doesn't have a bowl, it's a hole on the floor in which you squat down over.

totally coincidentally, I just came across this article and decided to return here to post. According to business insider, jetstar is quite safe and "has never had a crash" whatever that means to you.

I used them frequently for round trips from Tokyo to Okinawa. The flight was fine and the personnel were friendly, but the seating was cramped and it was an overall budget experience (which is why you pay for the cheap tickets). I wouldn't use them to fly longer than 2 hours if I had another option.

Jetstar Pacific is part of the Jetstar Group but has different ownership, operates a separate fleet and therefore has a separate safety ratings. It is the one based in Vietnam and its IATA code is "BL". Passenger and safety ratings of Jetstar (based in Australia), Jetstar Asia (based in Singapore) and Jetstar Japan should not be confused with that of Jetstar Pacific. Flights whose origin and destination are both outside of Vietnam are not Jetstar Pacific flights.

These toilets are all over Asia, they are not exclusive to only this airline
