That chart data above from Mastercard shows Asia is a powerhouse in global tourism that rivals Europe.

But, Bangkok? What's there? Sex, for both men and women.

That is also outdated. In 2016 and 2017 Tokyo got way more than Seoul.

Bangkok has a lot more to offer than simply sex, though that's there if you're looking for it. Check out the Grand Palace, Wats (temples), the river cruises and the historic city of Ayuttayah (I may have misspelled it).

And you know why?

Mainland China, HK and Macau share the most busy border crossings in the world.

Cities like Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Macau and Zhuhai goto the top of the list as documents are also checked when people cross.

Thailand is a destination that can rival Hong Kong in visitors arriving by air. You can see as much foreign faces in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket as in HK. It is cheap and tourism is well developed. The bad thing is going to Thailand is expensive from Europe and North America. If going to Thailand from Taiwan, Southern Mainland China, HK or Singapore, the air tickets are cheap and flights are short.

Asians in Asia don't quite reckon Thailand is a sex destination and this is not the main reason Asians in asia going to Thailand. Mostly the slower pace of life and tropical weather.

Here are places on my radar for the upcoming year.

Azerbaijan-I'm hoping to organize a trip to Baku.
Turkmenistan-The only one of the former Soviet -stans I haven't "been" too. I flew into Ashgabat International Airport very early one morning for a refueling stop and it looked like Vegas. Tough to get a visa I've heard though.
Kyrgystan/Tajikistan-I really want to attend next year's Nomad Games and do a trip down the Pamir Highway.
Indonesia-Quite a change from Central Asia.

Probably because of Mainland Chinese people coming to shop in Myeongdong. That'll definitely inflate the numbers.

The best place I have experienced and would like to recommend is Namkhan Eco Farm everyone if you want to experience real Laos culture, It is situated in Luang Prabang, Laos. Their motive is to get people aware about Eco-farming and permaculture. The farm is highly diversified and it has tropical fruits, vegetables and herbs. The environment of Namkhan Eco farm is very beautiful, they have fascinating waterfall, spa area and outdoor exercise area and many more treasures. People from different countries visit this place, where you will not get to interact with native people only but also with people from different countries. You get good environment here where people get together, share meals and interact with each other. The place is enclosed with fascinating Buddhist temples and lovely mountain valleys where you can trek.

Strange you mentioned this as a place you wanted to visit in a previous post, not "experienced", and now you are shifting to promoting the place.

You are advertising!!! And being quite deceptive at that, in other words - SPAMMING. And if a place needs to deceive the good people of this forum as a form of advertisement, then one must question if this place is full of crooks.

Before I report your post and let the mods ban your @ss I will let this stay for a few days as advertisement of a place to NOT visit.

The poster was clearly spamming on a previous post. If you need to spam to promote a destination, it must be a place to avoid.
