Hi,
I am looking for Pre-K for 2011 for my daughter and am going to try at Ashford park elementary as well as Brookhaven Christian child development academy.Given a choice, which of the two is better?
Or going for private ones like Goddard or Primrose schools?
I am going to be working so Goddard/Primrose can also be the after school care providers.
I guess I am more concerned which one will prepare my daughter better for K? She currently attends a church pre-school 5 days/wk.
Thanks,
k

I think your child will be fine with whichever choice you make.

I would totally aim for the GA Pre-K program because the price is right. Is Ashford Park your home school? (Actually, if it isn't, then it isn't an option.) It would be nice for your child to be in school already there as that is one less transition, but it isn't really necessary. Kids are flexible.

All those programs will more than adequately prepare your child for K.

Just make sure you are reading to her at home.

Better prepared for Kindergarten?

As long as she is drooling less from the start of pre-k to the end of pre-k, I think she will be just fine.

not sure if you guys are aware but kids get wired by age 5. So it is imperative that they get the proper learning environment that the OP is after.

Thanks everyone.. her current school does have pre-k and we have already admitted her there; but now since I am going to be working I also want after school care, which the current school does not offer.
