Black Polygamist Family Moving to ATL (Atlanta, Forsyth: to rent, low crime, houses)

Hello,

As the title explains, I'm a black man married with more than one wife. Two, to be exact. I have 7 children (5-12) between the two. I am planning a move in aug and I need some help searching for Atlanta homes online. So many homes are listed but of course, Im not familiar with the areas and my situation is unique. Can you please give me a few names of neighborhoods we should search? Areas where I can find homes with at least 5 bedrooms and 3 bath.

My maximum purchase amount is 275k. A safe place where my kids can walk to the bus without me being worried. Good Public Schools. I'll be working downtown for the city but Im more than happy to make a long commute if I dont have to worry about my childrens safety while Im at work.

275 K? You can get 7 bedrooms and 5 baths and a full basement for 275K in the Camp Creek area. Quiet area with low crime and many working class blacks.

Also Lithonia is another nice, mostly black area (off Browns Mill Road) has plenty of houses for what you're looking for.

Watch out for other not so nice areas of Dekalb and South Fulton (the two counties I posted) though.

You should be aware (if this is serious) that Georgia actively prosecutes polygamists, as you are moving to a predominately Southern Baptist-controlled State, where that is frowned upon and pursued by numerous law enforcement agencies.

Finding a home with five bedrooms won't be that hard if you look around hard enough especially in the suburbs - finding neighbors in those suburbs who won't turn you in for the polygamy part however, will be nearly impossible.

I would suggest Forsyth County....no doubt that you and your "family" will fit right in.....

Edited to add: You may have to do like the polygamist family on Sister Wives on TLC did. He had to rent 4 different homes for each of his wives until they can find a house where they can be all under one roof. They moved from Utah to Nevada to avoid prosecution.

Is polygamy against the law? How could they be legally married if it was?

And will the ladies live in the same house ? Maybe "they" should agree on the area first. I'm not mad at you..

South Fulton has a nice selection. There are good selections in North Fulton as well. There are great deals out there. Find a good realtor to steer you in the right direction.

Question for all:

Do you actually have to divulge information about having two wives in GA? (not that I have two wives..the one I have would kill me)

WOW...thank you for all the information. Please do not worry. Although I see both of them as my wives, I am "legally" not married to either in fairness to them both . We take the law in full consideration with everything we do. With this new information, I wont be able to keep the ladies off the computer for weeks! Also, that show on TLC was a horrible example to show people about our way of life. That man is a monster in ways I just wont get into here. Thanks Again!
