Hi I am new to this site, and I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but how safe is Powder Springs? I am coming from Marietta, Ga and I am moving there in the next couple weeks. I am also moving behind Mceachern High School I heard its pretty safe around there. Is that true?

Yes, the New Macland Road area is fairly safe.

Whites are fleeing that area and minorities are flocking there. That is why McEachern High has went from 90% white to majority black in the last 10 or 15 years. As far as crime goes, there isnt much but petty stuff. Also you should have asked this in the Atlanta room.

Like I said i'm new. I would of, if I have known. Well i'm white, and i'm moving in that area. Well thanks for the info.
