So I've seen all the post about problematic builders. Has anyone had any good experiences with with a builder in the Metro area?

Yes. Pulte Homes is building our house, and they've been great. I've worked with them in the past in NJ and in NV, and they were great to work with there as well. You get alot for your money with them.
