I lived at The Mill at Chastain in Kennesaw for a year after college and liked the apartment and location. We had a nice sized apartment with three rooms, a large patio area, and the location was great. It was only about a minute from the interstate as well as numerous good restaurants, shops, mall, etc. I don't know if it is kid friendly as I did not have any at the time, but I know there was a pool and a playground.

I would skip the apartment living and contact a realtor about renting a house. The market is flooded with housing and many people have just moved on and now rent their houses out. Just an idea. The previous poster mentioned The Mill on Chastain as a possibilty. While I am sure there are families living there, the majority of the apartments along Chastain and Busbee Parkway (intersects Chastain) are college kids who attend Kennesaw State University. Good luck! I hope you love Kennesaw.

You can find more apartments on Ernest Barrett Parkway near Hwy 41 that are fairly new, and not as close to the college. Ridenour is one. There are also many more in the Town Center area above Costco. All of these are close to shopping and restaurants.

Ridenour is nice and in the middle of the action. It is near all the malls, shopping and on CCT.
