ETA: how far is duluth from marietta? i live close to the austell area (like close to south cobb high school)...
Duluth is kinda far from Marietta. Easiest way is I-85 north from 285. Get off on Pleasant Hill exit. Turn left for Super H-Mart (and enormous Korean/Asian community) and turn right for Assi.

Buford Hwy. Farmers Market is immediately outside 285 on Buford Hwy.

Ok so I went to six or seven places today. Super H-Mart and Assi were about an hour drive for me. Traffic was kind of heavy though. I really like Buford Farmer's Market. They have EVERYTHING. I also tried a few smaller stores that were African-owned (I'm Ghanaian myself so I like to support African-owned small businesses). By far Buford Farmer's Market is my favorite because it's a one stop shop. Thanks for that rec! I also tried Mom & Pops which sells mostly west african foods on Roswell St in Smyrna. That would be my second favorite because the owners are have exceptional customer service. They only thing is I can't get a lot of my fresh cut meat there. I see that they are building across the street and will open sometime next month so I'll try again then. I also tried two more smaller stores in Powder Springs. They were really great as well! And very close! I can't think of the two names but if anyone wants me to share their contact info I'll be happy to.

Thanks again everyone.
I think I'll enjoy my stay in Atlanta!! (...well really marietta...)

Glad to hear it...it is a great town and as a Jamaican, I even find that Publix has a little section in their store where I can find some stuff if I need in a pinch. Emjoy.

These are very small stores, not full-on groceries, but worth a try (and not too far from you):

Gantt's (shopping center on Franklin Rd between S Loop and Delk): I haven't been in here for several months but they had a surprising selection of Carribbean pantry items. There is also a good Jamaican restaurant in this same shopping center.

There is an African grocery that used to sell Halal meat and Nigerian/Cameroon items on the same property as the gas station when you get off I-75 at Windy hill and make a right. I have not been in there in some time so I can't vouch for the current quality.

Another option might be to check out the Motherland restaurant at the corner of Windy Hill & 41; or the Africa restaurant in the international shopping plaza at the corner of Franklin & South Loop. Both have a very impressive diverse menu covering several African cuisines --- they may have a good lead on suppliers.

The Life's Essentials organic grocery on Cascade Rd (inside 285) has a sparse inventory, but they also carry many Carribbean staples, get some good fresh local farmers' veggies/fruits, and used to have a spice market comparable to Sevananda's back in the day(badly in need of restocking). However they have been a mainstay here for a longtime and could probably point you to other mom & pops as well or help you special order any items you are specifically looking for...while you are in SW ATL you may want to try the tiny Jamaican restaurant just down Cascade next to the Barber shop at the corner of Benjamin Mays; or cut down Delowe Drive to Campbellton Rd. On your left is an African restaurant that has great jollof rice and fufu.

One other tip is to try some of the Indopak grocers around Marietta (a new one opened across from Harry's in Marietta). They are a great source of halal meat and can often supply harder to find cuts like lamb neckbones, etc.

There's another H-Mart near Buford Hwy Farmer's Market. It's newer than the main H-Mart in Duluth, but slightly smaller. Still a great international selection and very good produce section. It shares a parking lot with BrandSmart that you can see from 285. About a mile from Farmer's Market.

Oops I kinda forgot about this thread (I stick to lurking mostly). I tried out Cayce Foods in Smyrna again. They've moved to a larger building across the street. It's really beautiful inside. One side of the store is covered in a mural depicting African culture done by a Nigerian (I think) muralist. They also have a West Indian/West African cafe inside. Pretty sweet. Anyway they now have the fresh meat that I need. I don't shop here often though since I live closer to another store. Just came back to update this thread.

Thanks again for all of the help!
