I have noticed that the pace of construction and development is starting to pick back up again all around the region. 2014 is projected to be a big year in Atl as major projects are complete and open.Ponce City Market, Buckhead Atlanta, Civil rights museum, College football hall of fame, and the new streetcar all open next year and will be game changers. I see a momentum going on. Is the pace of Atlanta's growth and boom starting to pick back up? Its exciting to see the city and metro area pick up speed post recession/economic recovery.

Maybe not. Even if that's the case, I'm excited to see the pace of growth in this region pick up.

Is Atlanta "booming?" No. Is it growing again? Yes. Big difference.

Inventory is tight. We can speculate an infinite number of reasons as to why. But, not really.

If you want to know what booming really is, go look towards Houston. After seeing a list of projects there, Atlanta doesn't even come close...

Yep. Recession is a measurable metric defined as a sustained contraction in GDP. We have been out of a recession and growing (slowly) since June 2009. Now the pace of recovery is finally starting to pick up enough to make up for all the loses during the recession.

This^^^........I don't understand. Atlanta is a great city with a bright future. I'm looking forward to my 5 day visit in October. If all checks out, I'll be living there this time next year.
