In 2014 our family will be hosting a Family Reunion in Atlanta
We just left one in Orlando
They have now passed the torch to us
We need a good hotel
We are talking at least 100 black folks

Does anyone have any good ideas on hotels not to expensive
but fit for a Family Reunion (Midtown, Downtown, Buckhead)

did you know that most Convention and Visitors Bureaus will help you arrange what you are looking for, for free?

Just contact Atlanta CVB, DeKalb CVB, etc and let them do the footwork for you.

They should both have reunion planning people.

I've hosted using the Sheraton Midtown (now a 'W'), and the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Downtown - which has excellent customer service and packages for reunions. They'll also assign you an event planner.

I was also able to get "personalized" welcome letters from the governor and mayor for the reunion souvenir booklets.

Incidentally, I skipped mine in NYC this year, but *heard* they too voted for another trip to Atlanta in 2014.
