The power or marketing. If you have the chance, try and see the movie "One, Two, Three" with James Cagney. A relic of the cold war and for some reason, not that easy to find.

It really doesn't....I don't see how it would be possible to stay in ATL for more than a weekend....the amount of cultural attraction still lack in the city.

I remember everyone telling me how awful it was and the only thing interesting was sampling the Coke products at the end.

I agreed, I thought it was boring and stupid. Paying money to get advertised to? Well, I guess Disney built an empire on that, but at least they have rides.

I think the Coke Museum is lame as can be (at least the old one, haven't been to the new one), but people go. So they're doing something right.

I think the little museum at the CDC is infinitely more interesting and most people don't even know it exists. Plus it's free.

The Federal Reserve has one too, plus a short tour. It was interesting if you are bit of a nerd. Got to see what they do with old money and you get to lift a bar of gold (with a lever). Yep, it's heavy and I definitely wouldn't want to drop it on my foot!

When you compare to to other cities in the U.S., it just lacks for a metro of it's size...Seattle probably has more to do despite being a smaller metro.

I didn't find any of these attractions impressive except for The High when they traveling exhibits. I went to the Atlanta History Museum for the first time the year before last. I was highly unimpressed and didn't think it was worth what we paid to get in.

I went to both the old one and the new one. Basically it's just something to do. Atlanta doesn't have a lot of museums or unique attractions in my opinion. I took a friend to the new world of coke and it was fun, but it isn't something I'd pay to do more than once. The new one is definitely better than the old one though.

It does make me wonder that, what with all the building that's going on why the city isn't adding more interesting cultural amenities as opposed to just more housing, shopping and places to eat.

But we have more entertainment, better clubs and strip clubs, more attractive women, better weather, more direct flights, better restaurants, cheaper cost of living, we are more diverse, we have better heavy rail transit than Seattle, we are in a better location to travel to other cities, etc.. We cant be perfect in everything
