I bet media coverage will be far more sympathetic.

Thing about Atlanta is we have CNN and The Weather Channel to broadcast our problems to the world immediately. .....most stores like these in the rest of the country stay as local news

That's because regardless of how much they try DC is a southern city. The majority of its residents doesn't know how to drive in wintry weather any better than most southerners.

Not really, the FOX O&O station, WAGA, here is showing coverage from FOX News and its O&O sister station in DC, WTTG, on how their city has been stranded and ill-prepared for the next system set to arrive tomorrow.

Yeah, but Atlanta has the national notoriety as being an automobile-oriented city, thus it is more newsworthy to discuss and ridicule on a national level why this region needs to become more unified and more transit-oriented like most are in its tier.

Here is the story from the AJC: Inch of snow cripples DC | Jamie Dupree - AJC.

I was sure to send this to my aunt who laughed at us back in 2014. She lives in the DC area.

Except that it's not, no matter how much you try. People who say that obviously don't know the area or have ever lived there.

We were ridiculed on the national level because we're in the South. I doubt DC's stranded drivers will be lampooned on SNL and the Daily Show as hicks who can't drive. They might catch some backlash but it won't be as bad as our's.

I've been and stayed in DC numerous times, so that kills that theory. Kudzo grow in the District itself particularly in SE DC, and last time I remember kudzo only grows in the South. DC is south of the Mason-Dixon and was a refuge for southern blacks that were trying to evade slavery and later racial discrimination for better opportunities. The only people that want to pretend are not Southern those that doesn't know history, climatology, ecology, cultural anthropology of regions.

FYI, I'm not going to further discuss this with you because I've said what I've said this is a non sequitur to the snowstorm.
