Okay, let's forget realty here and pretend that we could move the capital from Atlanta. Where would you put it and why.
Far away...Very, very, very far, far, AWAY (like on the other side of the planet in some third-world country where most of our highly-esteemed legislators' bright ideas often seem to have originated from)

Otherwise, why not just make it official and move the capital to Disney World?

Although, because Georgia's politicians have tended to run completely off-the-rails at times over the last decade and at many points during Georgia's history, the most appropriate location for our 'slightly' out-of-touch state government to meet would likely be at the Central State Hospital psychiatric complex in Milledgeville (which ironically is where Georgia's state capital was located until 1868).

Other places where the Georgia State Capitol would be a perfect fit:

...Any five-star restaurant, hotel or bar where ungodly sums of lobbyist money is being spent

...Next to any whorehouse (for our state legislators' personal convenience...hey, they gotta spend (and make) that lobbyist money somewhere, right)

...On any urban street corner in a somewhat blighted industrial-like area (where our most whorish state legislators can more easily and directly engage in their favorite activity of prostituting themselves out to the highest bidder without the constraints of a stuffy government building)

...In Brookhaven (inside of Pink Pony)

...In Forest Park (inside of Pink Pony South)

...Fulton Industrial Boulevard (enough said)

...Some remote trailer park out in the middle of nowhere (because great minds think alike)

...Inside the restrooms of any Greyhound bus terminal or roadside truck stop

...At any dirt-cheap fleabag roadside motel

...Inside of any 'massage parlor' throughout the Atlanta suburbs

...Inside the men's restrooms at the Atlanta Airport?

So maybe some where more centrally located will work like Macon, perhaps.
Yes it's true that a state capital doesn't have to be the largest. However, that's usually due to the fact that the capital was chosen BEFORE other cities became the largest. Albany was made the capital of New York in 1797. At that time it wasn't clear yet New York City would grow to be such a behemoth. Before that it had moved around several times. However, once the governmental structure is firmly established in one place, it usually doesn't move again. Once the government buildings go up, they tend to be ornate and expensive to make a statement of power and glory and it's difficult and expensive to build new ones. Georgia's capital moved around too. At one time it was in Milledgeville. The capitol building is highly ornate and gold gilded. It's not likely the residents of Atlanta or Georgia would ever fathom the notion of moving it out of it. State capitals haven't changed much in a very long time. There's no earthly reason to move it at this point. But you never know!

Don't they have more upscale clubs to waste taxpayers money in.

I certainly don't understand your comment but Americans LOVE to believe their government is the worst. Your state government must not be too bad as they have steered Georgia from a poverty-stricken cotton state to an economically prosperous, economically free state with a rapid rise in income. Despite lingering pockets of problematic areas and poverty, Georgia has transformed into a global center of business, industry, transportation, research, and education.

Right where it is. I don't understand this question?

A question about how you would redistrict counties would go better.

Moving the capitol? Doesn't make sense.

To many of those guys in the legislature, especially the ones from rural areas far removed from Atlanta, the Pink Pony is an upscale club.
