I'll remember the prohibition on repetitive topics the next time I read the same old griping about MARTA from the usual suspects!

MARTA causes crime! My friend's brother's dog got mugged by a minority at a MARTA station.

I appreciate creativity but isn't that like me saying me and my boy are really going to miss all the great times we spent hunting with Old Blue, the finest dog we never had? Why, I'll never forget those crisp autumn mornings when the boy and I made our way through the tall grass, watching Blue sniff the air to track down the birds that weren't there after we had downed them with the classic old shotgun my grandpa never had and didn't pass down to me?

Yes, "Oh puhleeze" was my first reaction as well.

Just go see 'em in the new venue. Geez. You'd think the writer were a scorned lover. Too much drama.

He should stop worrying about that and start wondering why how to explain why he raised his kid as a soccer fan.

This is a rant from a fan with little factual information. The stadium is falling apart and Cobb does have mass transit. Additionally:

Quote:
I tried moving my car into Cobb County on a recent Friday at rush hour. So did a lot of people. It took me 40 minutes to go seven miles, from Decatur to Midtown, and I still had nine miles to go.
Well, that says a lot about Atlanta traffic, but nothing about Cobb county. Keep in mind that Friday is the worst traffic day of the week. It can take me sometimes 20 minutes just to get from downtown to midtown.

Now, this also shows a little ignorance on the part of the writer: if you're going to the Smyrna area by car from Decatur, you're better off going down MLK and then taking Northside up to Marietta St then Marietta Blvd.

Needs to just tell his son he is too lazy to drive 7 more miles, or too dumb to look at a map and realize that you don't need to take I-75 to the new stadium from Decatur.
