Hello,
My partner and I have been looking at various cities to move to.
We are both from GA and are ready for a move out of state. We recently visited Asheville, NC and while it is a beautiful place to visit and vacation we found it a bit small and not exactly what we were looking for. We have the following the cities and would love some feedback:
Raleigh NC
Alexandria VA
Richmond VA
Suffolk VA
Boston
Chicago
Maybe Delaware?

We are both young professionals I have just gotten my double Masters in Public Health and Social Work with a Non Profit Management concentration as well. My partner is a chef so as you can imagine we are big foodies.
We also have two dogs and a cat and have found it hard to find houses/apartments that are pet friendly and in our price range.

We also have never ever ever moved out of GA or this far and from scratch. So any help on how to make this move (economics, logistics, strategies) would be much appreciated. And of course, your feedback on the following cities mentioned above! Thank you so much for your feedback!

~Peace, Love, and Happiness!

I recommend moving out the region to get a totally new experience. Try the West Coast

I'd look into Denver if I were you. Columbus, OH might work also.

I'm from Atlanta and currently live in Arlington/Alexandria. Unless you can move to this area AND receive a significant income bump, I'd stay away. It's very expensive and if you're having trouble finding pet friendly housing in GA, it would be much worse here.

I second this. Boston has an extensive and renewed health industries and more terrific restaurants than you can shake a stick at. It's also an animal lovers town. Just bundle up Nov - April.
