We found couple good properties inside of Country club of Gwinnett?

Is it a good area to live? I will be commuting to work at Sandy Spring. Don't really care if it will take an hour or so.

Your commute will suck big time, but the area where that is seems pretty nice and peaceful.

I can't think of many commutes that would be worse.

I like living in the Grayson/L'ville/Snellville area. There is plenty of commercial offerings around here that allow you to stay in the area and get the things you need. Plus on the weekends, the traffic is not bad and you can get around and enjoy your time off. I lived in Alpharetta before moving here and I would scurry like hell to get all my weekend errands done before 11am on Saturday to avoid the weekend traffic around Northpoint.

I have a neighbor that works at Concourse at 400 and he tells me it is around 1.5 hours one way on his commute. He leaves around 6am and works 7:30 to 4:30. I work in Alpharetta sometimes and that is anywhere from 1 hour to 1.25 hours during rush hours. My wife works downtown at 5 Points and her commute is 1.25 hours using the Gwinnett Express Bus.

I wish someone in Gwinnett would step up and build some Class A real estate and provide incentives to attract more large employment industry here. I am amazed how many people routinely commute 1 hour+ to jobs from Downtown up to Alpharetta from Gwinnett. Even though many of us can afford it, we dont want to pay $400k+ for a house in those areas.

No doubt!

I know Gwinnett Place is an employment center, as for what industries...hell if I know, I've never seen a job for someone like myself in the area.

NCR can only hire so many people, and so far I can't get them to talk to me. They may be short timers to the area, anyway!

I really wish we could be the employment center Perimeter is. Or else get some type of rail to serve the area. The proposed line that ends at Doraville MARTA and comes up to Gwinnett Arena would be perfect. We'll all be dead and in the ground before it ever happens, though.
