That article talks about the west side. I have seen it around SE Atlanta too. So I assume blighted properties all over the city are getting cracked down on.

I've seen them mostly in SE Atlanta. I can also see the westside getting new developments from all of this because of it's proximity to downtown.

Sounds like the Mayor is pretty serious about cracking down on blight, enough to personally show up in court: Buckhead investor accused of gaming court system | www.ajc.com

Quote:
...Mayor Kasim Reed was in attendance as attorneys for Rick Warren argued that they were not ready to proceed because one of them was only hired on Friday. Warren now faces 17 counts of housing code violations. If found guilty, he could do jail time.

Reed vowed afterward to attend each hearing until Warren is brought to justice.

Rick Warren has bought up properties just west of the planned Falcons stadium.
“I intend to be here until the last minute, the last hour, the last day until this is over,” he said.
Glad to see it. If you are going to buy up hundreds of properties you have a duty to maintain them.
