Good schools, diverse: Fayette County, with your budget more around Fayetteville the county seat. Easy access to the interstate for your husband's business plus diverse with "okay" schools: southwest Cobb (Mableton, Austell, maybe even Powder Springs) or Douglas County (Douglasville/ Lithia Springs).

Conyers in the Barksdale, Honey Creek, or Lorraine Elementary zones that feed into Ray Davis Middle and Heritage High. Stockbridge/McDonough in the zones for the Woodland schools. The McDonough Union Grove & Ola areas are also nice with good schools, but may be outside of your budget and Ola is not as diverse.

You have a lot of options given that your not commuting to a central place. Your budget and wants pretty much excludes most of the city of atlanta, so you'll be looking at the suburbs. There are places in cobb, Gwinnett, forsytthe, etc. that will meet your needs and budget well. Just a matter of where you want to be. Northern suburbs are generally more built up than southern, but are also costlier.

Hard to give too much more without more specific questions.

You may want to look at this recent discussion on areas with good school zones in Gwinnett. You may be able to find a place in one of them.

Hi! I would like to know where in Gwinnett county is a good area to live!!!!

Where are you moving from? I'm also from East TN so if you tell me what areas you like up there I may be able to suggest similar.

Ahope we are moving from west Knoxville, Lenoir city area. We came here 2 years ago from south Florida to be near family. Besides the beautiful mountains we don't love it here. I appreciate the help but honestly we're not looking for anything similar. Thank you.
