Honestly, do you think that if Kansas or North Dakota matched the film credits that they would have this business? Please tell me, if they were filming Anchorman 2 in North Dakota, which town or city would they have used to look like New York? Or, if they filmed Ant Man there, which city would be used to double as San Francisco's Chinatown? How many daily flights to LA are there in Fargo?

No, but then again, there's a reason why out of 50 states, you picked those 2.

I used an extreme to make the point clearer for you. Another way to discuss this: If NO states offered tax credits, would Atlanta have features that would attract filmmakers?

The point is clear, you used extreme examples to dismiss that there are other states with cities.

Atlanta films and tv shows before, but nothing like it has now. Are you suggesting that the welfare has nothing to do with it?

And if not, why didn't Atlanta have as much before?

The point I was trying to make clear was the point the TV producer was making in the video.

Since you are using the word welfare, are you referring to tax credits given by governments to promote certain industries? Would you do away with tax credits for energy alternatives, for example?

Actually, I would prefer an alternative to income tax, altogether, but that's not the world in which we live.

If you were in charge, would Atlanta have said to Mercedes that we can't give them any tax considerations, so maybe they should just keep their North American headquarters in New Jersey? There must be something good about having a Mercedes headquarters, because New Jersey certainly did fight to keep it. Also, if the film business is a burden on a state's economy, why did California increase their credits to keep film business? If it were a business that isn't attractive, they would have said just let GA have it.
