I havent seen the sun in almost 2 weeks now. This is the rainiest June I can remember...also the mildest one. I know a tropical storm was passing though.. but man.. its like I wake up and its overcast, then when I'm getting ready for work thunder is booming through the sky, then I head to work and the streets are flooded and I get a view of a magnificent doomsday-like lightning show and traffic lights malfunctioning, or plainly breaking altogether (saw atleast 3 major ones on Winward Pkwy completely die, no flashing - just dead.).. and when its not doing anything its just looming grey overcast with that explicit reminder of Seattle's dismal weather.. waiting on sinkholes to begin opening and caving in our beloved creations.

I'd much rather this than the heat we usually start to see by now. It's coming to an end though. Starting tomorrow, we'll have about a week of gorgeous weather with relatively low humidity. Well deserved, I guess...

Having lived through our multitude of droughts - I never complain when we go through a rainy season

I just need it to dry out long enough for me to mow!

Should hopefully cause July to be a couple degrees cooler than it might have been.

A little bit of sunshine. My mowing leg is twitching.

Rainy summer >>> Hot summer

Rather this than having that hot azz summer we had last year.

At least you know it will not be as hot because of the clouds and rain

I remember growing up and June having a lot of rainy days. I remember as a kid getting out of school for the summer not being able to go outside for so many days at a time.

According to climod.unl.edu, at PDK, June 2017 so far is coming in with an avg high of just 85.6 which is likely to remain steady or even decrease with next week's below average highs. It's the coolest since 2013 (our rainiest summer on record). You have to go back to 2005 to have a cooler avg high for June (84).

Avg low is right at normal at 67.4.
