Only in that there's not enough of it. Needs to serve where all the businesses are, first of all.

So long as we're dreaming about what we want, I would like to see the Atlanta Streetcar running on 100 miles of track all within the city, comprehensively covering every urban area, all in dedicated rights of way and/or at least a good signal priority system, and with tons of vehicles, to the point that a streetcar is stopping at every stop in the system, every 10 minutes. 24/7/365.

Then everyone in the city would use it to get to everything, every day. And people from the metro would come in to the city on MARTA, then grab the streetcar for the last mile to their jobs. No traffic to deal with. Would be utterly fantastic for business.

Not to mention the absolutely huge tourist impact it would have.

That's what I want.

Many things offend many different people. The Atlanta Streetcar really offends me. I am offended by its presence.

Yeah, I got that you are offended, but why?

And that's why I don't take what you say seriously.

You can disagree with the streetcar all you want, sure, that's fine, but to be offended by it is ridiculous. Please, elaborate on how it's offensive to you, or don't. It doesn't really matter.

Should it drive down I-85, or should it take MARTA to the nearest exit?

So, I don't remember seeing this posted, but last December, Atlanta BeltLine released an [updated version of the streetcar plan.](http://beltlineorg.wpengine.netdna-c...1216-FINAL.pdf)

Part of this includes the capital cost estimates:
  1. Downtown Streetcar 2.7 miles - In Operation
  2. Atlanta BeltLine East 5.1 miles - $367,200,000
  3. Atlanta BeltLine Northeast 1.1 miles - $79,200,000
  4. Atlanta BeltLine Northwest 5.3 miles - $381,600,000
  5. Atlanta BeltLine Southeast 3.5 miles - $252,000,000
  6. Atlanta BeltLine West 4.6 miles - $331,200,000
  7. Crosstown Crescent North 1.3 miles - $93,600,000
  8. Crosstown Crescent South 4.8 miles - $345,600,000
  9. Crosstown Inner East 0.9 miles - $62,640,000
  10. Crosstown Inner West 2.2 miles - $158,400,000
  11. Crosstown Midtown 4.8 miles - $345,600,000
  12. Crosstown Outer North 1.8 miles - $129,600,000
  13. Crosstown Outer South 2.2 miles - $158,400,000
  14. Crosstown Peachtree Central 3.1 miles - $223,200,000
  15. Crosstown Peachtree South 9.0 miles - $648,000,000
SYSTEM TOTAL: 52.4 miles - $3,576,240,000
Granted, these prices don't include more VMFs, but do include more trains, apparently.

Also, here's the image of Route Selections so far from the Q1 BeltLine briefing:

We could build all the lines under EIR for $919,440,000

Not that you're entirely wrong, but it would actually be the Crosstown Outer North instead of Crosstown Inner West. Even then, only ~1 mile of it compared to the 2.2 mile west line. Then again, the BeltLine West section is a bit short on mileage (since it doesn't have the bottom bit of the Peachtree line to Oakland City), so it should all just about even out.

You also forgot the Crosstown Midtown 4.8 miles - $345,600,000
