I found a great kennel for my dog, but I'm having a ridiculously hard time finding a fabulous kitty sitter. I'm hoping to find an older person or a college kid who wants a house sitting job.

We have a great house in Suwanee with an easy, super affectionate cat. (If my kitty acted stand-offish I'd just get someone to throw out food, but my cat is super friendly and I'm guessing gets very lonely when we we disappear on a trip.)

Do you have a sitter to recommend in my area?

Maybe ask some vets in the area if they have any recommendations?

Its called references. There are pet sitters who do it for a business. But I don't know any in Atlanta.

Based on their posts, pretty sure Arjay, "Ansley" and bu2 are cat lovers.

Call your vet. That's how I found my cat sitter (I'm too far from you, or I would recommend you mine. She's wonderful).

If vets don't know, google "Pet sitter" and "atlanta" or "cat sitter" and "atlanta". I've used "Thumbtack.com" to find reliable pet sitters, too. Check references. I've never had a problem in the past.

Yeah, we love our kitties.

We found a great sitter and all our critters love them, but they may not cover Suwanee.

I don't have any qualms at all about letting them have a key to the house. They are a blessing.

References. Yeah ok.

I'm a past pet owner of 16 years but when I traveled, I put my dog in a great doggie hotel. Giving a stranger a key to my house and then coming back home and sleeping in it sounds crazy to me. Any crazy person could simply unlock the door and walk in. Oh wait. Crazy ppl cannot get references so I guess that could never happen.

We used a fantastic couple for the last 4 years that have a great kitty sitting business, they post facebook pictures of your cats so you can see what they are up too whilst you are away. You can tell they love what they do.

I've never once thought that they may do something 'crazy' whilst they have my door keys but maybe thats just the kind of person I am.
