My daughter had several vaccines inadvertently administered 5 days early (from an out-of-state pediatrician who had her birth date recorded incorrectly). I was a first-time mom and at the time did not know the importance of the very exact timing of vaccines. I know better now!

I have learned GA has a 4-day grace period (they will accept vaccines that were given up to and including 4 days before the designated age). However, hers were administered 5 days early and the county Board of Health is not willing to accept letter from our pediatrician explaining what happened, asking for an exemption.

Thoughts? We can get a titre test for 2 of the vaccines, but one supposedly is not available for titre testing. I don't want to re-vaccinate unnecessarily, as it is just a 1 day difference.

Has anyone had luck getting an exemption for the county or their school, or getting the county to make an exception?
