The city doesn't even follow street names when establishing quadrants for trash collection.
The quadrants do not use the freeways as boundaries.

To me it looks as if Hosea L Williams is the dividing line. Thus cutting the neighborhood into two different quadrants. With a larger percentage of the neighborhood north of HLW.

Look up the address of Pullman Yard or le petite marche or Toomer Elementary. They all have NE in their postal code. In determining what section of the city you are in, your address is the most important.

Default Tentative Completion Dates

Around when will the project between Fulton Street and Georgia Ave. near the GSU stadium be complete?

Also, is there any information on how the Beltline will (logistically) get from Memorial Dr. to Glenwood Ave., and when should we expect that project to start?

Lastly, what is the ETA for the interim hiking southside trail? Any guesstimates on when it will eventually be paved?

From Glenwood to DH Stanton Park, they are already cutting back overgrowth and building temporary stairs and entrances to the trail. You can easily walk or ride a bike with at least 40mm of tire from Mercer to Glenwood and there is a little foot traffic on the weekends. In regards to paved pathway, they said they want to be shovels ready in 2020 and to expect completion of the entire southside trail by 2023. 3 years is kind of a long time in my opinion for a few miles but whatever!

What's included as part of your street address has literally zero bearing on any city services, unless we are talking about getting police or EMS to the right place. It's pretty useless for "determining what section of the city you are in". The city has adopted entirely different quadrant boundaries for things that DO matter, like trash collection. All those places you just mentioned are in the SE quadrant according to DPW.

Or getting things like mail or packages to your house, that's pretty important. Not sure why you say that it's useless, it's actually pretty utilitarian. I will draw it out for you in photoshop if you'd like.

Fuqua is building the BeltLine extension along Bill Kennedy Way along his Madison Yards development.
Southside Trail is still in process of becoming an interim hiking trail. It will eventually get paved, but they have no raised funds for it. Next section will be NE segment after Georgia Power replaces the hairpin transmission lines along it. I believe they are helping to pay for that segment of the trail.

Design work is funded, not sure about construction funding. I guess the old TIGER now BUILD grant would have completely funded construction immediately.

More residential and retail moving forward at the Carter/GSU site by Turner Field! They're doing some really fantastic things here, and moving along faster than I expected.
