The standalone decks should have one level of retail at the base/street level, all the parking levels in the middle, and then maybe even put a level of restaurants at the top level, accessible by elevator. Lots of rooftop dining with views and such.

So that at least the real estate is not totally wasted.

So, I did any of y'all see the maps of proposed improvements from the plan itself? They're pretty nifty:

A BRT line on Northside Dr still makes little sense to me, but whatever.

Love the idea of removing the PCA Cycle Track and instead building 2-1 way protected bike lanes on Piedmont and Courtland to connect to Midtown Alliance's plan.

If it means bus lanes, then I'm game for it.

No, Peachtree is just fine being shared lanes. The one ways have extra capacity to add high quality, protected bike lanes.

I thought cyclists considered it critical to have their bike lanes on Peachtree itself, not off on a side street.

Wasn't that the big kerfuffle about bike lanes on Peachtree in south Buckhead?

Peachtree St is slow enough that some can feel comfortable riding in mixed traffic, but Peachtree Rd is different story. If you haven't ridden it, you wouldn't understand.

Well, there are proposals to put bike lanes on Peachtree through Midtown, just not in Downtown.
