Hello,
I will be leaving Ohio this summer for an internship in Atlanta and I need some help finding an apartment. I would prefer it be as cheap as possible and either be a studio or one bedroom.(Is less than $600 possible?) I don't think location is a big deal because although the office is downtown I may be at a client that is not downtown. A central area, near the freeway would probably be ideal. And as I am a single female I would want it to be in a safe area.

Any suggestions on where to look? I've searched the regular websites without much luck. Not many places have short term leases. Thanks.

Either we'll need to know what city your client will be, or you'll need to choose something in a central location like west midtown. You should be able to find a 1br for $600/mo in some areas however it'll be tough to find one willing to offer a 6 mo lease for that amount. Anything larger is definately unlikely. Check Craigslist. Look for people needing roomates.

See about looking in some of the student newspapers like Emory Wheel, GA State, GA Tech. I'm sure many students are looking to sublet their apartments for the summer. Craigslist will probably have some listings, too.
