Why? The Benz was built for soccer and football.

I would love to see real grass. But is this even possible without major construction? Tottenham has done this with their new stadium, where they have a retractable pitch for NFL games, but this was designed before construction started.

Atlanta should not build it. If the team wants to build one using their own money, they can knock themselves out.

No. Now if someone would like to fund it with private money, that's another thing.

This.

If anything, keep the roof perma-open and change it to real grass.

That would make it absolutely perfect for football, and better for gridiron football as well.

Definitely don't want to copy all the crappy unsuccessful MLS teams. Atlanta is doing it right here.

NO

On one hand, would be nice just to say it... "Atlanta's MLS Soccer specific stadium for the United."
But on the other, bigger hand, it's even better saying... "Atlanta United has had the largest crowds in MLS history..." The Benz affords us that opportunity that a soccer specific stadium just won't.

THEN, get into all the other "Why?" and "we don't need it, the Benz if fine" and "nobody is going to pay taxes for a new stadium"

If Atlanta United builds an SSS, hopefully it's not like what the idiots from FC Dallas did and they build it all the way in a far away exurb.
