This condo a Frisbee’s toss from a western entrance of Piedmont Park lends new meaning to “smart home.”

It’s such a nimble use of space that 432 square feet doesn’t look like solitary confinement—an uncommon achievement in Atlanta.

Despite intown price surges in recent years, stylish condos for less than $150,000 aren’t exactly endangered species, but finding comfortable flats with locations this prime isn’t always easy.

Built in 1923, the 12th Street building neighbors Skate Escape Bike Shop. Facing east and maximizing all spaces from kitchen walls to bedroom ceilings, Unit 13 is described as a “cleverly crafted ... urbanite dream” that marries historic charms with smart technology.

No parking is included, and finding permanent space inside the unit for more than a single bicycle could be challenging.

Monthly HOA fees are listed in multiple places as being $350, which is another consideration, although it could be mitigated by mortgage payments far cheaper than most rents in the area.

The location’s so strong, it’s a rare instance in Atlanta when an 86 WalkScore smacks as underwhelming.

Asking price: $135,000.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't debated by anyone. Yes, if you choose small living quarters, no washer/dryer, and no parking, you can live relatively affordably, even in town. You do have to give up a lot of things in order to achieve that price, like possibly having to crawl under your bed to get dressed. But for the person who wants that lifestyle, it's a great fit.

Yep. Not for everyone. But we got to stop outlawing these afforable options for people in most of the metro.
