Absolutely miss those days. And I miss the Falcons and Braves of those days. Simpler, better times for Atlanta and in general.

The Omni looked really cool. Interesting architectural look, and I liked the black color.

I only miss the Omni when I'm playing Bon Jovi and Cinderella for my kids and explaining the good old days.

There used to be a 2 story McDonald's in there, along with another 2 story one behind what's now a hooters downtown. as a little kid that was wild to me.

I find Philips to be a much superior facility.

That 2-story McDonald's was actually in CNN Center, right near the door for the Omni. Which is kind of confusing, since I believe at one time, the entire complex - including CNN Center - was referred to as the Omni.
