We will be relocating to Atlanta and seeking advice/input on the school systems.
We are looking at Forsyth County , Fulton County schools or Cobb County Schools.

Looking at schooldigger, greatschools and niche sites to understand better about the school ratings. Was a little confused with great schools giving a higher rating to Fulton County schools compared to the other 2 ( Forsyth & Cobb) but school digger & niche rate Forsyth as the best.

Any one with kids in one of these school systems, can you please share you experience.

The vast majority of the schools in all of the areas you are considering are very good.

Have had a child in the Grady cluster (Fulton) and in the Lambert cluster (Forsyth). Both are very good. They may differ between departments, but are overall great schools. We really cannot say one is the "best" above all others. They are each good.

All have great schools.

Fulton county is unique amongst them in that, the county crosses the metro, inclusive of the city of Atlanta. So in general, one must delineate between north and south fulton. Based on your other choices, I'll assume you are looking into North Fulton?

If that's that case, they all have great schools, you are kind of splitting hairs and in my estimation you can't really go wrong.

Exactly what everyone else stated- all 3 of these districts are massive and have great schools and not so great schools. You have to delineate where you are looking. For example the top schools for Cobb County are generally regarded as East Cobb.

Don’t look at the county, look at the cluster. East Cobb & North Fulton would rate higher than Forsyth if they were separate districts. Lower performing schools in South Cobb & South Fulton drag down the overall county ratings.

Top High Schools districts in Cobb:
Walton
Pope
Lassiter
Harrison

Fulton:
Northview
John’s Creek
Milton
Cambridge
Alpharetta
Chattahoochee
Roswell
