Recommended Restaurant around the Aquarium?
Having company visit over the weekend and we plan to spend a day at the World of Coke and the GA Aquarium. Where would you recommend eating lunch and/or dinner (somewhere close by)? Being relatively new to the area, we aren't completely in the know of what would be considered a good place to take out of towners for an Atlanta dining experience.
Thanks!

For lunch, I'd head over to the Luckie Food Market at the corner of Luckie Street and Ivan Allen (it's on the back side of the aquarium)- good food, reasonable prices, and a neat atmosphere.

Spoon is a great Thai Restaurant a short driving distance away on Marietta Street. Stats, Endenu & Luckie Food Lounge, McCormicks & Schmicks are nice eateries close to The Aquarium as well. Many of the places on Broad Street are closed on the weekends but Les Fluer Cafe is a nice French Restaurant in the area as well.

I don't know how casual this restaurant is as I have always been there on business - but I love it!

Our absolute favorite Atlanta restaurant with both amazing food and wonderful service is AVRA on 5th and Juniper. It's a Greek restaurant housed in a southern style bungalow with an incredible wrap around porch. The owner is the most gracious man...so happy to have you there and also gives work to people in need in exchange for a meal. But aside from all of that, the food is incredible and you can linger as long as you want! Not walking distance from aquarium but it puts you in a nice area to walk around after dinner.

If you're thinking of Les Fleur de Lis in the Healy Building, it has closed and there is now a cajun restaurant in that location.
I've heard the Peasant Bistro is good. It's within walkig distance of the aquarium.

Looks like the Cajun restaurant is closed now. Too bad.

Thanks for all the advice. We ventured over to Luckie but having a 6 & 7 yr. old with us, it didn't seem appropriate for them. We ended up at No Mas - not exactly close but it was well worth it!
Looking forward to trying out all these recommendations!
