Yup, tech has peaked and is on a downswing. The whole thing was an easy-money orgy but it's winding down. It's already shown up in the stock market (any tech company that's not a 5-star Japanese Wagyu Blue Chip company is down well over 50%, and even the blue bloods like Microsoft and Google are down 25%) and the expansion of these companies and their bloated payrolls won't continue much more. Oh, and all the paper-rich employees being paid heavily in shares and options aren't quite so paper-rich anymore...

The nonsense was off the charts when every single unprofitable company with no moat, future, or vision was being valued at $50-100 B. Snapchat, DoorDash, Chewy, Coinbase, it was nuts. IMO, Atlanta missed the tech boat and the hyped-up Microsoft campus will end up being about as sexy as the AT&T campus in Midtown as the dust settles over the next few years. All the worry about tech workers driving up housing, etc will go away as the bubble continues to deflate and everyone realizes that employees in the tech industry aren't really worth more than those in any other sector.
