Hardly surprising. We beat out Denver, Boston and San Francisco.

I see a paywall. Would you be able to kindly share ATL's rank? Would be interested to see how we stack up with other sunbelt cities.

Thanks!

Awesome, thanks for sharing!

Florida, NC cities are doing particularly well.

Surprised to see KC, Indy & STL on the list.

I notice some of the cities that many have avoided for decades are on the rise. Richmond and St. Louis surprised me. I do know that Richmond is becoming a hotspot though.

In fairness, there were like 50 some cities in the actual report.

Looking at the first metric, unemployment, I kinda don't see what's going on. Nashville shows at #6 with a 2.2% unemployment rate per the below, while Atlanta is #22 with a 3.0% rate. Fair enough, although the difference in rate isn't that big of a deal.

But why is Boston #6 for unemployment rate when it's got a 3.3% rate per the current data?

Year over year nonfarm payroll growth in ATL is definitely lackluster at 0.9%. But Nashville is actually worse at 0.5%.

In other words, not really putting a huge amount of stock in this ranking. Based on actual economic data, Atlanta's economic growth in the last year has been steady but middling.
