Any body has any insight of this subdivision?

It is right near the intersection of 285 and 85 ( North East behind silverbacks park) and there are couple of listings there which is in our budget.

Is there any web site or source where we can check things like crime rate, incidents, foreclosures or things like that?

I asked one of my friends who has gone through home search recently and he recommended city-data but I am unable to find any links.

Please share any info.

Thanks,

Praveen

Online Statistics (http://www.library.wwu.edu/ref/refstats.htm - broken link)

I was told you can go here and look up crime stats, etc.

As far as foreclosures go your Realtor can pull up what is going on in that neighborhood and/or area and see if how many foreclosures there are and pending ones as well. Now in the last 2 years, in that zip code, I show 57 foreclosures (this includes auctions/postings/recordings).

Hope that helps - let me know if you have any othe questions and I will try to help!

Yes. One of the real estate agents here did a CMA and sent it to me (Very thankful for that) and it turned out to be a good asset. We also found that there are no obvious red flags on that property.

While the location is fabulous, I am worried about the locality. 285/85 intersection looks very rusty. I dont realy like the main roads (Jimmy Carter Blvd etc). Of course this suburb is not near to them but we would love to hear general info about this locality.

TIA

During weeknights (Tues-Thurs) there are recreational soccer games going on at Silverbacks park until 11:30pm. Drive by at night and see if the stadium lights and whistles blowing are too noticeable from the houses on Rose Ridge. Those might be secondary to ambient interstate noise though. Nights of home Silverbacks games will give have minor traffic issues before and after the game, plus the stadium announcer + music over the pa and sometimes overflow parking in that subdivision. On the other hand, if you back right up to the fields you will get an occasional free soccer ball over the wall, and even fireworks!

Recommended for soccer fans anyway! The houses in there are very nice and yards seem kept up, and you also have a golf driving range across the street and Cafe Hot Wing at the end of Northcrest (at Chamblee Tucker).

I've driven and walked around that area and it feels plenty safe to me. But I just learned on here that I live in one of the most crime ridden neighborhoods in all of Atlanta so I must be super tough. (sarcasm)

Yup. Crime in and around neighborhood is my main concern and Norcross does have some reputation for this. I will drive around this subdivision this friday and will experience it myself. Hopefully it turns out to be good because we just love the location.
