Hi everyone! I'm an American, living in Clayton County with my Brazilian wife. Are any other Brazilians living in the south-metro Atlanta area? I know there are a lot of Brazilians in and around Marietta, but what about down here? I was wondering if it's worth setting up any Brazilian-type restaurant or store in this area.

(By the way, I'm new to City-Data.com. This is my first post and I hope to have a long, edifying relationship with this site.)

Sorry, I only know of the community in Marietta as well. I have family in Brazil so I try to look out for the Brazilian communities as well.

Yes of course.....MARIETTA hands down probably have more Brazilian communites than anywhere else in the metro Atlanta area. There are at least 3-4 brazilian restuarunts around marietta. Not to mention other brazilian barbers, daycares, cellphone stores etc. My advice is to check out marietta. Good luck. There is a really good brazilian restuarunt near Brumby Elementry school. Its near the shanes rib shack. Building is yellow I do believe. Sorry I forgot the name of the place. Google Brumby Elementry school in marietta and its a stones throw away to the restuarunt.

Thanks for the reply, people. I'm aware that the main Brazilian community in Georgia is in Marietta. So my question was more of a call to the individual Brazilians living in the south-metro area. So far (other than my wife) I've met three other Brazilians here: one guy and two girls. All of us are in our twenties, although my wife turns 30 in October.

My husband is Brazilian and we also live in Clayton County. We have not met any other Brazilians here in Clayco but have been to Marietta to a few of the stores.

Hubby would be thrilled if anything Brazilian opened up here.

Sandy Springs, believe it or not. I'm not Brazilian, but I have been to the Brazilian shops off of Roswell road in the Old Loehmann's shopping center. HTH.

Hi ChioChuck, I live in Newark NJ, but I am tired and sick of cold weather.
I want to move to Atlanta area.
Everybody keep saying to move to Marietta, but I cannot afford to buy a small house there. So what you tell me about your area.
Thanks
Neli
