Hi,

Is it possible to find a good full-time daycare place in Atlanta for my 14 month old for about $600.00 a month?

I don't know the particulars on tuition (they don't post it on their websites) but Sheltering Arms is a non-profit that provides infant-Prek for much less than other daycares/preschools. They do take tuition vouchers/scholarships for lower-income families but everyone is welcome and the full-priced tuition is still pretty cheap. They have I think 16 different locations around the metro area. I've met employees from several different sites, all of them are great and really love their jobs and all their kids.

Hope this helps!

Day care for infants inside the perimeter in Atlanta is an issue. I would say no you will not find a good day care center itp for 600.00 per month. You can try the YWCA as I think they offer "scholarships"for folks who qualify. Aside from price it is often hard to find a location in town that does not have a very long waiting list for infants.

I really didn't know how much daycare was these days. Some friends of mine pay over $2200 a month for daycare for their twins; plus they get charged a fee for each minute they are late. Ridiculous.

I have a great academic preschool that has longer hours. PM me if you want it but there is no way you can find something great for under 250 a week (in my opinion).

I looked long and hard and finally found a great school with languages and extended flexible hours and they don't charge you late fees! That is so wrong. With this traffic? Come on.....
