Thank you all for your responses. We are going to pass on this "deal." Do you think we have at least another year of these good prices, if anything maybe even lower prices? We really need to find a house SOON!

Prices will continue to be low for a while. We're not out of the woods yet. I wouldn't rush to buy anything unless you absolutely love it. Also, another thing to consider is the crime. If you're in a semi-occupied SD you leave yourself open to having all kinds of vandals, robbers and squatters in the neighborhood for a very long time. I wouldn't risk it.

Hi to the OP. Doon't feel rushed. Though it is easy to think that if you don't move quickly you'll "miss out". Houses are like buses... Oh wait, this is Ga!! I'm from Chicago. Seriously, there will be another one in a few minutes. Buses, houses, cars, etc. Don't rush, try to enjoy the process as much as you can.

Thank you everyone for your advice. My gut feeling was not a good one and I am glad that I asked! Guess we will keep looking. Hopefully, more homes will come on the market each week. I think we have seen them all .
