Moving here, you have a great opportunity to get everything right, but if you are not careful you can end up in a bad situation.
You issue is a challenge because your husband will work in Gainesville yet need access to the airport. The most direct path will be about 70 miles south on I85, through the heart of the city, etc. That's a nail biter when you need to catch a flight, believe me.
So you guys really need to think about this some.
To answer your question,
Hamilton Mill is very nice, the area is newer and growing and there are literally hundreds of nice homes in your price range in there.
