The money multiplied, and in fiscal year 2015, production companies spent $1.7 billion on 248 projects, an increase from the $1.3 billion spent in fiscal year 2014 which was already a more than 500 percent increase from 2008.

Do they mean just the first half of 2015? Or does their 'fiscal year' run from mid-2014 to mid-2015? Or, as I suspect, is Tiffany Stevens from the Associated Press an inter-dimensional time traveller?

I believe this is an AJC article picked up by the AP.

Gotcha. Yeah, I guess what I mean is, where are they getting their figures from? They post a number for 2015 but, obviously, 2015 isn't over yet.

Is it YTD? Is it an estimate? The article doesn't say.
