I prefer Midtown. Having Piedmont Park in the neighborhood is a huge amenity. The number and location of MARTA rail stations is more convenient (and I consider Midtown's access to the interstate easier than Buckhead's -- especially after the new work done on the bridges). And with the slowdown in the redevelopment of Buckhead Village, there's just more to do in Midtown.

Buckhead is great for shopping, and Midtown is great for living. I live where I can walk to the park, the museum and hopping on marta to get out of town is a breeze. Buckhead is where I go to shop the malls. Buckhead is not as walkable as Midtown, which is why I chose Midtown.

On the shopping front Midtown figures to get much better with all the new retail space which has been created. Next year Atlanta Luxury Hotels, Midtown Atlanta Hotels | Loews Hotels and Trendy CB2 to open store on Atlanta’s ‘Midtown Mile’ - Atlanta Business Chronicle: and I would imagine other retailers will follow.

Midtown feels more like "The City" to me. Like someone else said, Buckhead is more for shopping. I like both though.

Midtown all the way! The part of Atlanta I'm proud to call home, and the city's most livable neighborhood.
