Hi all,

I am a 23 year recent graduate looking to move to Atlanta to pursue creative arts opportunities (dance, and singing).

I am looking to spend 600-1100 on a one bedroom apt.

What are some good areas to live within the city or not too far outside of the city???

Thank you in advance.

Midtown, VA Highlands or Decatur would be intown areas to consider. I think Decatur would offer a congenial atmosphere for a 20 something and you would be minutes away from the heart of the city. I know Decatur has several dance companies and interest in the Arts has always been a priority in this community.

Make sure that when you pick your spot, you talk to people that have lived in that area for atleast afew years... traffic is a major problem in Atlanta, and even if you're just a 5-10 mile trip to work or school, that can quickly turn into a daily 2 or so hours in the car.

I would go so far as to recommend that afew extra hundred dollars a month to get closer to where you'll be spending alot of your time will actually save you money and frustration.
