I'm surprise nobody posted the news on here yet... Hotel rooms still available | The Augusta Chronicle

Jugal Purohit of Purohit Holdings has announced the Four Points by Sheraton will open in June.. He's also working on getting financing for a high-end hotel to be built next to the Four Points by Sheraton...

The hotels are located off Washington road in West Augusta.... The same area where the new Sheraton, Holiday Inn Express, and remodeled Courtyard by Marriott are located..

Are both of these hotels in similar size (4-6 stories) to the other hotels in and around that area? Sounds good. I know there has been a cleared lot behind the zaxby's over there off of Washington Road for some time now... I'm assuming that would be the lot for the "high-end" hotel your referring to?

Would be nice to see one of these nicer hotels built downtown...

The Four Points is planned to be 4 stories and I'm not sure about the other hotel..

The Hyatt Place will get built sooner or later downtown... The old Regency Inn is supposed to become a Holiday Inn Express. Another Holiday Inn Express is going in the Medical District.....
