How do you surmise 10-12 rooms a floor? That's 5-6 rooms on each side of the hall, which isn't typical at all. I would double that per floor and you might be closer.

hotels nowadays do come that way
Especially over here in Atlanta lol
You do have a point though- I'd need to see some previous work for the developer

If it actually is built… it will probably be on top if it’s own parking garage just like the Hyatt House further up Broad Street, so that would add a few stories to the project that is in addition to the standard hotel accommodations. Hyatt House has 100 rooms and I believe 5 floors of actual guest rooms, it just depends on the hotel layout but the lot for the potential Embassy Suites is larger than the lot containing Hyatt House.

The last mention of the Embassy Suites was 6 months ago on the local news channels and with a recession coming, it wouldn’t be the first time that something in Augusta came along at the wrong time and wound up not being built. So that wouldn’t surprise me, but it could also mean something else eventually comes along that’s a better use for the property and the area surrounding it.

Naman Hotels is the developer and this would be one of their bigger projects, they normally build 4-8 story hotels, based out of Florence SC… we’ll just have to see.
