I'm sure it's just a formality of the transfer of the ownership. I am guessing there may be some tax advantage by a using a subsidiary of Darden as an intermediary. It will eventually be absorbed by the ANGC. That's why they built the location at VAR.

No, that's what the golf club uses "Berckman Residential Properties LLC" for. The subsidiary of Darden I mentioned previously chose to buy the property in 2018 when the previous property owner (a developer) received an unsolicited offer from another party to buy the property (likely the golf club). Darden's involvement is not a new development in the story, as I posted previously.
