I wonder what they will do with the glass penthouse? Would make a nice lounge/bar.

This is an interesting question to me. One thing I noticed about Augusta is there aren't really any parking garages. At least not like what I'm used to here in Greenville. Where are the parking garages?

They built a big fancy one for the convention center 2 blocks off of Broad that sits largely unused. Face it, no one is parking that far from the "action" on Broad. The closest deck to Broad that isn't for private business is probably the BOE parking deck on Ellis St, which of course wouldn't be available during business hours, and many folks would probably question if they can use it or not off business hours without some signage indicating permission is granted without liability. For the most part, parking decks in this area are purpose built for a specific facility. There are no general public parking decks that I can think of. There's a lot more general tourism in Greenville where public decks can be funded and used more often.

Okay. I've spent some time down there. Was actually born in the metro area but was raised elsewhere. We went to hang out there last year just to see something different, and that was one of the things I noticed. We basically parked in an area that felt like it was in between the streets.

76 units and commercial space coming to Broad Street. The CBD is experiencing an unprecedented housing boom. The only major advantage a few cities(Greenville, Charleston, Savannah, Chattanooga) have over Augusta is a vibrant downtown.

1. Millhouse Station 155 units - Opened
2. The Augustan 136 units - under construction
3. Atticus 86 units - begins construction 2023
4. Lamar Building 76 units - under construction
