I am NOT looking for friends here. This is NOT a personal or singles ad?
I am seeking objective truthfull responses from you.

Remember, this is a theoretical question and NOT an advertisement.
I am really fat-I weigh 350 pounds and have weighed this much for
many years.

Out in the world, if you met a person that seemed like a decent sort of person,
but they weighed a lot, would you consider a friend of that weight?

NOR IS THAT A ROMANTIC OR RELATIONSHIP QUESTION.
Could you be friends or hang around someone really fat?
Tell the truth, be tactfull.

Personally, I find fat people disgusting in general (no offense..just being honest), but I have had several friends in that range who were good people and hung out with them and enjoyed their company.

It depends on the person, like any other (thin, colored, etc).

Based on your question in the other thread I was expecting you to be closer to 600 pounds. If you are 6 foot and 350 you definitely won't stick out too much.

Someone being fat won't and hasn't kept me from being friends with them but I don't share many interests with most people who are fat.

If a person had good qualities and we got along then it would not matter to me how much they weighed, or what they looked like.

Anyone who would base a friendship on appearances is shallow and not a true friend anyway.

Here's a word of advice: Your personality, disposition and ego have much more to do with the number and quality of friendships you have than your weight. Many seriously overweight people have ego problems and therefore go into hiding because of the attitudes of "some" people. No matter what your weight, if you are personable and kind to people, they will generally treat you likewise. Sure, you will encounter some A-holes, but in all likelihood, they will probably be the ones who have problems establishing friendships with people.

I'm friends with someone if they share my interests. So, if you like hiking, kayaking, swimming, sitting out on a deck drinking a beer, etc... I don't care what you look like. Usually my criteria is whether someone is heat tolerant or not. If you're heat tolerant we'll generally get along, because I'm not the type to stay inside in the A/C all summer watching movies or whatever (I don't know what people could do inside and not get bored honestly). I like to get out, so being heat tolerant is most important. The only thing is many obese people are not heat tolerant, though I've met some that were more heat tolerant than me so that's not always the case.

Bottom line is personally I don't care about weight but interests instead.

Moderator cut: off topic/personal

But if someone doesn't want to be friend's with someone because that person is fat, then they have their own issues that need to be solved.
