I'm finally getting around to ripping all my cds to mp3s and now have a few boxes of cds that I need to get rid of. Are there shops that buy used cds still? I need to get rid of the clutter... they must go!

Thanks.

oh, they make it so easy! Have you ever tried it, most people are just scared of it... it doesn't take that much time (less than 1 minute per CD to list). Shipping and such is also a breeze (assuming you have an eBay and paypal account).

Depends on the artists also. Some CDs by certain artists aren't worth very much. If they are popular artists of the last 10 years, you won't get very much.

Out of print and hard to find CDs are worth more - and your time to be selling on-line.

(I say as a long-time eBay, Half.com and Amazon seller)

As long as you don't care how much you receive for your CD's, Cheapo's or Half Priced Books would be your best bets.

The problem, though, is that fewer and fewer people are buying CD's when it's easier to just download music online (for free or paying). I have no idea how Cheapo's has managed to stay in business, as they seem to be part of a dying breed.
