I need to find a handy man to service my attic fan and also change out a few wall switches that should not have dimmers on them and currently do. My husband would usually do this sort of thing, but he is very ill, and can no longer work around the house. So I need someone who is trustworthy to help me out with a few things now and then. I am in SW Austin (Circle C). Any suggestions?

I have not used an "all-purpose" handyman, there are several listed on Yelp in south Austin. Handyman services Austin I generally hire someone who specializes in the work that I need, but I can see how it would be convenient to hire a handyman to fix a variety of minor problems.

By "service my attic fan" do you mean service your HVAC system? If so I recommend Alamo Austin Air, Jason Krieg, 736-0145.

If it actually is an attic fan then it sounds like you need an electrician for it and the switches. I recommend David Allison 848-3975.

Thanks, CptnRn. My AC seems to be just fine. It really is an attic (whole house) fan that needs help, as it runs only some times. I don't need it when it's 101 outside, but I will need it as it gets cooler. So yes, right now my needs seem to be electrical. Thanks for the reference.
