There used to be a place on IH 35 called "Taboo Tan". I don't know if it was a sex toy store or a full on brothel. It's not called that anymore but I think it's been something sketchy for quite some time. Anyway, this little house is located on the frontage rd. of IH 35 on the northbound side right after the airport blvd. intersection. To this day it still looks like something illegal goes on there. I moved here in 1995 and it was there then, so I'm figuring an old timer or long time resident of Austin might know the story behind that little house on IH35. There are a few sketchy things right in that area like the Mardi Gras modeling place (used to be called dixie or something like that) . Anyone know the history of that strange little house?
