I'm being treated by a family who are taking me to the festival on Sunday. Anyone been there yet? Any reviews?

Apparently this is the LEAST hot it has been since they began the fest. I can't comprehend why they schedule it in September. Are they trying to kill people?

If they'd just push it to the first or second weekend in October they'd have much better odds of nice weather (80s instead of 90s.)

Anyway, am looking forward to seeing Ziggy Marley and Bob Dylan, among others.

There were a lot of great acts yesterday. Blonde Redhead, Kaiser Cheifs, and Killers were my favorites. I like Bjork, but she was a bit boring last night to me. It was really cool to see people in their 60's-70's watching modern type bands

Tonight will no doubt be another excellent line-up, I'm looking forward to; Muse, Arcade Fire, Blue October and many more!

It was hot until we had a little cloud cover & little drizzle. Lots of people as you can imagine, but very mellow. As we drove in we could see black smoke billowing up from the festival. A propane tank exploded on some workers. A couple of them had to be flown to San Antonio for burns. We parked on 9th and Meridian, what a beautiful neighborhood.

It sounds kind of cool. I've never been to something like this. Sometimes it's nice to get away.

I have the same review as Zzyzx but I would like to add: bring your sunscreen, a hat and check out some bands that you've never heard of.
Have fun!

I didn't get to go. I have some undiagnosed physical issues that were acting up and I was doubled-over in pain, I couldn't do anything but knock myself out and sleep it off.

And I had a free ticket to see Ziggy and Dylan, and a date who had gotten herself all dolled-up, and I had to tell everyone "sorry, can't do anything..."

Sometimes I wish I didn't have a body.

Sorry to hear about that. Yea, bodies are so limited...they do sort of get in the way sometimes.

We were planning on going to see Bjork Friday, but we just moved here 10 days ago and we just couldn't swing the $80 X 2 one day tickets. And I guess I agree with JREAD, the big crowds are sort of a drag. I like smaller, intimate settings for music. On the flip side, I'd love to perform at a big festival like that...what a rush

It was a little costly for us. But I did get to go on Thursday to Zilker and I saw all the set-up stuff. Wow! They had a lot of port-a-potties and a lot of golf carts all over the place.

My dream life is so wonderful --- I often get to fly, or float, there's never any pain, there are amazing social interactions and magical happenings, it's so beautiful that it feels like a preview of an after-life. Then I wake up and feel my body and sob for the first 20 minutes. I often wish I'd never wake up.
